Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years in a management role within the restaurant or retail industry preferred
  • Ability to work over 50 hours per week including nights, weekends, and some holidays
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to communicate professionally with staff, suppliers, customers, and corporate personnel
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Proficiency in using restaurant management systems and financial reporting tools

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in restaurant or retail management preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of financial controls and accounting principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Experience in customer service and complaint resolution
  • Familiarity with labor laws and human resources practices
  • Ability to train and develop staff effectively

Job Duties

  • Work a 50 plus hour work week including nights, weekends and some holidays
  • Maintain frequent contact both inside and outside the restaurant with the public, businesses, and community organizations to enhance the restaurant’s public relations
  • Communicate with purveyors regarding quality supplies and restaurant equipment repairs
  • Coordinate with Home Office on public policy and procedures relevant to restaurant operations
  • Maintain staffing levels through effective planning to comply with company policies and labor laws
  • Supervise staff to ensure prompt and courteous customer service, quality products, proper equipment maintenance, sanitation, and restaurant cleanliness
  • Provide on-the-job training to crew employees using company training tools
  • Implement and execute restaurant level financial controls including petty cash, profit and loss statements, daily deposits, payroll, and budget management
  • Manage supply ordering, quality control, and accountability
  • Resolve customer complaints tactfully to maintain satisfaction
  • Appraise subordinate performance to recognize job contributions
  • Prepare sales and expense projections to set realistic profit goals
  • Exercise managerial judgment in employee relations including evaluations, grievance handling, disciplinary actions, and counseling
  • Manage and maintain all internal records and reports required by law and company policy
  • Train and develop Assistant Managers and Manager Trainees to foster leadership growth
  • Ensure workplace safety for employees and customers
  • Perform other duties as assigned
