Job Requirements
- 1-2 years of Restaurant General Manager experience in restaurants
- Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to follow Smashburger uniform standards
- Ability to follow all company, local, state, and federal regulations
- Successful completion of Smashburger training program
- Strong communication skills
- People management capabilities
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proven time management and organizational skills
- Highly motivated and results oriented
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in varying temperature environments
Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years of Restaurant General Manager experience
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- People management skills including coaching, counseling, and development

- Ability to manage employee performance and disciplinary processes
Job Duties
- Report to the Director of Operations/District Manager and support management teams in restaurant locations
- Manage the performance of Restaurant Managers, Shift Leaders, and employees
- Promote a fun and positive work environment
- Develop future leaders for the company
- Manage people-focused processes and systems
- Ensure adequate staffing and retention
- Provide training using SmashConnect LMS and the 4 step training method
- Recognize and reward employee performance
- Engage in talent reviews and performance conversations
- Partner with Human Resources Business Partner for disciplinary processes
- Resolve employee relations issues
- Manage operational checklists including line checks, uniform standards, opening/closing checklists, and safe deposit logs
- Manage FSC operational standards and corrective actions
- Handle guest experience metrics and resolve complaints within 24 hours
- Ensure all food safety standards are met
- Exemplify guest service and communicate SIZZLE service standards
- Facilitate onboarding and training for new employees
- Manage communication and operations budgeting
- Control COGS through ordering, inventory, and FIFO reporting
- Manage accounts cleaning, small wares, and operating costs
- Follow cash policies to minimize losses
- Build sales through community involvement and operational improvements
- Manage labor costs and scheduling
- Participate in P&L reviews
- Manage local store marketing programs
