Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years management experience in the restaurant industry
  • Ability to work over 50 hours per week including nights, weekends and some holidays
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to handle customer complaints professionally
  • Knowledge of financial and operational controls
  • Willingness to train and develop others
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure

Job Duties

  • Work a 50 plus hour work week including nights, weekends and some holidays
  • Develop and improve public relations with the general public, business and community organizations
  • Communicate with outside purveyors about delivery of quality supplies and restaurant equipment repairs
  • Communicate with Home Office personnel on public policy and procedures related to the restaurant
  • Maintain staffing levels by hiring and scheduling to assure efficient restaurant operation
  • Supervise staff to ensure prompt and courteous customer treatment, quality products, equipment maintenance, sanitation and cleanliness
  • Provide crew employees on-the-job training using company training tools
  • Implement and execute financial controls including petty cash, profit and loss statements, deposits, payroll and related reports
  • Order supplies and maintain proper accountability for supplies
  • Resolve customer complaints tactfully to maintain satisfaction
  • Appraise subordinate performance to recognize job performance
  • Prepare sales and expense projections to set profit objectives
  • Exercise managerial judgment on employee relations including evaluations, grievance handling, disciplinary actions and counseling
  • Complete and maintain internal records and reports as required
  • Train and develop assistant managers and trainees in management skills and technical knowledge
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
