Job Requirements

  • High school degree
  • minimum of 2 years’ experience as a general manager with P&L responsibility
  • ability to work a minimum of 45 hours per week
  • open availability
  • ability to perform physical tasks including standing and walking up to 9-10 hours
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Food Safety Certification required
  • ability to follow company policies and procedures
  • ability to communicate in English effectively
  • able to work in noisy environments and tolerate allergens
  • strong work ethic
  • strong business acumen
  • valid food safety certification passed
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • willingness to spend 80-90% of time on the shop floor

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of at least 2 years as a general manager in a restaurant or retail environment with P&L responsibility
  • experience in the restaurant industry preferred
  • high school degree

  • ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume, clean, customer-focused restaurant

Job Duties

  • Select and hire great employees who represent Potbelly values
  • train and develop all employees to the next level
  • assess staff abilities and create effective development plans
  • create and enforce a plan to reduce turnover
