Job Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, and move around the dining area for extended periods of time (up to 8+ hours)
Ability to lift and carry heavy trays, food, and beverage orders (up to 25 pounds)
Ability to bend, squat, and reach in order to serve guests and retrieve items from shelves or storage areas
Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment with high noise levels
Good physical stamina and mobility to efficiently serve a high volume of customers throughout shifts

Job Qualifications

At least five years in a high-end, fast-paced restaurant environment
Adaptive organizational skills and the ability to change plans to meet new circumstances
Excellent communication and customer service skills, including the ability to tactfully deliver unwelcome news to customers
Strong cash handling skills

Job Duties

Make, adjust, and cancel customer reservations
Greet customers and guide them to their tables
Answer customer questions regarding food, drinks, and specials
Resolve customer complaints or disputes
Manage waitstaff to ensure efficient and excellent service throughout a given seating
Assist our baristas in our adjacent coffee shop, Bonne Vie
Other duties as assigned by manager
