Job Requirements
- Be 18 years or older (19 or older in certain states, 21 or older to deliver alcohol)
- Have a valid driver’s license number
- Possess a social security number if delivering in the US
- Have consistent access to a smartphone
- Have access to a car, scooter, or bicycle (in select cities)
- Pass a background check and ID verification
- Be eligible to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous delivery or driving experience is a plus
- Ability to read and navigate using GPS and mobile apps
- Customer service skills and communication abilities
- Basic smartphone proficiency
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Reliable transportation via car, scooter, or bicycle (in select cities)
Job Duties
- Pick up orders from restaurants, grocery stores, or retail locations
- Deliver orders promptly to customers' specified locations
- Manage timely and efficient routes to maximize earnings
- Communicate effectively with customers and support team when necessary
- Handle payments and cash out earnings via the DoorDash app
- Maintain professionalism and customer service during each delivery
- Follow safety and traffic regulations while on the road
