Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum two to three years administrative experience
  • at least two years experience in food and beverage
  • one year experience in event planning
  • strong computer skills
  • excellent communication abilities
  • ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
  • reliable attendance
  • ability to handle multiple responsibilities under pressure
  • customer service orientation

Job Duties

  • Handle all guest inquiries
  • conduct site tours
  • prepare contracts
  • plan and conduct in-person meetings with guests
  • coordinate room set up and design
  • order additional items from third party vendors such as flowers, linens, and tents
  • create REO forms for event guidance
  • manage emails and phone calls related to Crossroads Restaurant and Tea Communication
  • manage phone and online reservations
  • communicate updates to host and tea teams
  • serve as lead host including stepping in when understaffed, helping block reservations
  • prepare floor charts for public events such as Mother’s Day and community events
  • schedule and manage all vendors
  • instruct staff on room and service area setup
  • manage hostess station during large scale brunches
  • manage guest reservations and confirmations
  • coordinate space usage and split sales with Sales Team for large group reservations and holiday events
  • implement menu changes as directed by Food and Beverage Director and Chef
  • provide staff updates and distribute information as needed
  • update Carolina Inn website and Tock reservation system
  • perform data entry and manage information using Kronos, Markview, Birchstreet, and Infogenisis
  • process itemized receipts, supply purchases, and vendor payments
  • input schedules and new hire information
  • organize supplies and materials
  • answer phones and take messages for Food and Beverage Managers
  • assist management and restaurant operations during peak business days
