We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Restaurant Cook to join our team in Bernalillo. This position is available as either full time or part time, offering flexibility to accommodate various schedules. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing food items that meet or exceed the restaurant's quality and service expectations. These responsibilities include cooking dishes as noted on the menu, adhering closely to recipes, and accommodating special dietary or nutritional requirements from our guests. This role involves more than just cooking; it requires a thorough understanding of kitchen operations, including inventory management to ensure the kitchen remains well-stocked with necessary supplies throughout service hours. The Restaurant Cook must observe and uphold proper health and safety procedures at all times to maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe kitchen environment.
Successful cooks at Applebee's Grill + Bar - Bernalillo are those with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and adapt. Previous experience in kitchen roles such as line cook, prep cook, sous chef, or other back of house (BOH) positions will be considered an asset but is not strictly required. While a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, it is not mandatory. Candidates must either possess or be willing to obtain Food Handlers certification.
