Job Requirements

  • Attained at least 18 years of age or if age 16-17 cannot operate any equipment such as slicer or buffalo chopper
  • able to meet physical demands including standing, reaching, lifting, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, pushing and pulling items weighing 50 pounds and occasionally 80 pounds
  • able to work in environment exposed to heat, steam, fire and noise
  • able to follow instructions and procedures and perform simple math problems
  • willing to work weekends and flexible schedule
  • able to maintain sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to work within a deli/kitchen environment that includes equipment such as oven, stove, dishwasher, slicer, coffee machine, steamer, mixer and chef's knives
  • manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills
  • ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures
  • basic math skills
  • line cook experience is a plus but not required
  • flexible and dependable with schedule
  • ability to multitask effectively with minimal supervision

Job Duties

  • Operate the grill, fryers and related equipment
  • set-up, organize, and prepare food using established production procedures and systems
  • comply with sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards, and housekeeping to keep the work area clean
  • observe proper food handling techniques
  • store food properly and safely, mark the date and item
  • assist foodservice team with any food preparation that needs completed
