Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience working as a cook in a restaurant or food service environment
  • basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • previous experience working as a cook in a restaurant or food service environment
  • basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • culinary school certification or formal culinary training
  • experience with various cooking techniques and cuisines
  • knowledge of inventory management and kitchen equipment operation

  • food handler's certification or ServSafe certification

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
  • ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet customer demand and maintain quality
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen including proper storage of ingredients and disposal of waste
  • adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations to ensure a safe dining environment
  • collaborate with kitchen team members to coordinate food preparation and service during peak hours
  • monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
  • assist in receiving and inspecting deliveries to ensure quality and freshness of ingredients
