Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 3 months cooking experience in full service restaurant or hotel
- valid food safety certification
- ability to prep food using standardized techniques
- skillful use of hand tools and machines
- ability to read recipes
- physical ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds frequently
- stand for long periods
- ability to work overtime or irregular hours
- comply with health and safety regulations
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Open and prepare station each morning
- cook all food necessary for service start
- prepare all lunch items including sauces, soups, and buffet entrees
- switch kitchen operations from breakfast to lunch at assigned times
- rearrange line and steam table to facilitate service
- prepare all orders quickly and according to specifications
- ensure food leaves kitchen in peak condition
- learn menus, recipes, preparation, and presentation
- store food properly with correct containers and temperatures
- cook sufficient food to cover expected volume
- prepare food for other kitchen departments as needed
- prep food for next shift and following day
- maintain clean and sanitary work area and equipment
- comply with health and safety regulations
- perform other duties as assigned
