Job Requirements

  • Currently authorized to legally work within the United States
  • Must be able to lift and bend to handle items weighing up to 50 pounds up to waist height
  • Capacity to transport materials weighing up to 50 lbs for up to 25 feet
  • Required to remain standing and actively working for shifts lasting between 8 and 12 hours
  • Ability to clearly hear and communicate with coworkers and managers in a busy, often loud, kitchen setting
  • Tolerate exposure to significant temperature extremes (ranging from sub-zero freezers to hot kitchen lines) during the shift

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrated capability to accurately interpret and follow complex recipes and preparation guides
  • Proven experience and comfort level working effectively in a high-volume, rapidly changing kitchen atmosphere
  • Clear proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing) to ensure smooth communication with team members
  • Exceptional people skills and a dedication to high-level guest service
  • Thorough understanding and strict adherence to all established food sanitation and safety protocols
  • Sharp attention to detail in portioning and final plating
  • Commitment to being a dependable and communicative team player

Job Duties

  • Efficiently and meticulously set up, organize, and stock the assigned kitchen station based on anticipated service volume
  • Perform all necessary food preparation (prep) tasks for the restaurant, ensuring quality and quantity meet operational needs
  • Actively participate in kitchen maintenance, including sweeping and sanitizing the line, removing trash promptly, and completing all required closing and cleaning checklists
  • Collaborate with service staff by promptly assisting to fulfill guest requests and special dietary needs
  • Know when and how to escalate operational or guest issues to a Manager, striving to resolve concerns professionally and constructively
  • Maintain excellent verbal communication with teammates (FOH and BOH) to ensure seamless and accurate delivery of all orders
  • Continuously uphold the highest standards of health and safety in all food handling and preparation zones
  • Adhere strictly to all Manager instructions and directions throughout the duration of a shift
  • Occasionally interact directly with guests to answer simple menu questions or assist with immediate needs
