Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years kitchen leadership experience
- Knowledge of culinary trends
- Experience in high volume or large convention hotel preferred
- Preferably union environment experience

Job Duties
- Consistent maintenance and refinement of service standards
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Perform duties in associate's absence
- Manage day-to-day operation of assigned culinary area
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Supervise upkeep, safety, and cleanliness in food preparation and storage areas
- Collaborate with Executive Chef on menu development
- Maintain knowledge of local and international market food trends
- Monitor local competitors' food offerings
- Assist sales in promoting events and tastings
- Control purchasing standards with Director of Procurement
- Forecast food quantities to maximize profitability
- Assist in budgeting and control overheads
- Inspect food services to maintain quality and presentation
- Respond to guest complaints to ensure satisfaction
- Communicate daily with Executive Chef and Executive Steward
- Supervise kitchen sanitation and timing of service
- Complete all financial and administrative tasks accurately
- Create recipe decks, costing sheets, and allergy guides
- Conduct walk-throughs and maintain equipment
- Schedule and conduct inventories
- Review staffing levels and maintain productivity
- Execute event setup instructions and handle special requests
- Recruit, train, and supervise team members
- Conduct daily stand-up meetings
- Develop specific goals and plans
- Utilize interpersonal skills to lead and influence
- Foster mutual trust and cooperation among associates
- Solicit feedback and improve associate engagement
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct
- Respond effectively to emergency situations
- Conduct required trainings and meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior management
