Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • or 2-year degree from accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 2 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • ability to comply with food safety standards and regulations
  • ability to lead and manage kitchen staff
  • excellent communication skills
  • capability to handle guest feedback and complaints professionally
  • willingness to work full-time in a luxury hotel environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 4 years of relevant experience
  • or 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 2 years of relevant experience

Job Duties

  • Develops and designs new culinary applications or products
  • supervises restaurant kitchen shift operations and ensures compliance with food and beverage policies
  • maintains food preparation, handling, and storage standards
  • plans and manages food quantities and plating requirements
  • communicates production needs to key personnel
  • assists in developing daily and seasonal menu items
  • ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • supervises and coordinates activities of kitchen staff
  • leads shift teams while preparing food
  • manages kitchen employees and daily operations
  • encourages mutual trust and cooperation among team members
  • sets and supports achievement of kitchen performance and budget goals
  • develops plans to prioritize and organize kitchen operations
  • manages the impact of kitchen operations on overall financial goals
  • provides excellent customer service and handles guest complaints
  • participates in training and mentoring kitchen staff
  • manages employee discipline and performance appraisals
