Job Requirements

  • Requires post-secondary training via community college, technical school, culinary arts school or four-year university
  • requires a minimum of 5 years managerial or supervision experience in the food service industry
  • must be certified in Serve Safe Management certification course
  • demonstrates team management and delegation skills
  • capable of issue resolution, coaching, and motivating others
  • strong organizational and multi-project time management abilities
  • ability to read, speak, and comprehend instructions and policies comfortably

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Supervises the day-to-day activities of culinary staff
  • assigns responsibilities and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work
  • promotes safety and sanitation and inspects all food handling practices
  • establishes and maintains contact with food vendors
  • prices and orders food and kitchen supplies
  • maintains effective cost control and quality standards to maximize sales and profits
  • complies with all company, franchise, and regulatory operational procedures
  • identifies hiring, firing, advancement and promotion needs of culinary staff
  • maintains effective communication and positive associate relations
  • conducts performance reviews and administers progressive discipline
  • manages incentive programs and development initiatives
  • ensures the highest quality of customer service and proper staff training to support customer satisfaction and product quality
