Job Requirements
- Post-secondary training in culinary arts or related field
- minimum of 5 years food service industry management experience
- Serve Safe Management certification
- strong team management and leadership skills
- effective communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of food safety regulations
- ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Job Qualifications
- Post-secondary training via community college, technical school, culinary arts school or four-year university
- brand certification a plus
- minimum of 5 years managerial or supervision experience in the food service industry
- certified in Serve Safe Management certification course
- demonstrated team management, delegation, issue resolution, coaching and motivational skills
- ability to organize and manage multiple projects and time issues
- ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
Job Duties
- Supervises the day-to-day activities of culinary staff
- assigns responsibilities for specified work and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion
- promotes safety and sanitation and inspects all food product handling
- establishes and maintains contact with food vendors
- prices and orders food and kitchen supplies
- maintains effective cost control, service and quality standards
- complies with company and franchise standards and regulatory agency requirements
- identifies hiring, firing, advancement or promotion needs of culinary staff
- maintains effective communication and positive associate relations
- provides the highest quality of customer service and ensures proper training of staff
