Job Requirements
- Previous bartender experience required
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must have a Connecticut liquor license
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Exposure to loud noises and fluctuating temperatures
- May require working evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of experience as a bartender in a high-volume establishment preferred
- Proficient in bartending techniques and cocktail creation
- Strong understanding of customer service principles
- Experience with cash handling and POS systems
- Knowledge of inventory management practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Solid knowledge of wines, beers, and liquors
- Experience working in a hotel or similar hospitality setting preferred
- Formal bartending certification or training preferred
- Knowledge of different wine regions and varietals preferred
- Experience with upselling techniques preferred
Job Duties
- Craft and serve a wide variety of cocktails, beers, and wines, adhering to established recipes and standards
- Manage inventory, tracking stock levels and ordering supplies to maintain sufficient quantities
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system
- Provide exceptional customer service, interacting with guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, adhering to all health and safety regulations
- Effectively upsell beverages and other menu items to enhance guest experience and revenue
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge of wines, beers, and liquors, including their origins, characteristics, and pairings
