Job Requirements

  • Previous bartender experience required
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must have a Connecticut liquor license
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
  • Exposure to loud noises and fluctuating temperatures
  • May require working evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of experience as a bartender in a high-volume establishment preferred
  • Proficient in bartending techniques and cocktail creation
  • Strong understanding of customer service principles
  • Experience with cash handling and POS systems
  • Knowledge of inventory management practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid knowledge of wines, beers, and liquors
  • Experience working in a hotel or similar hospitality setting preferred
  • Formal bartending certification or training preferred
  • Knowledge of different wine regions and varietals preferred
  • Experience with upselling techniques preferred

Job Duties

  • Craft and serve a wide variety of cocktails, beers, and wines, adhering to established recipes and standards
  • Manage inventory, tracking stock levels and ordering supplies to maintain sufficient quantities
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system
  • Provide exceptional customer service, interacting with guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, adhering to all health and safety regulations
  • Effectively upsell beverages and other menu items to enhance guest experience and revenue
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of wines, beers, and liquors, including their origins, characteristics, and pairings
