Job Duties
- Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area during shift
- Follow House of Blues safety, health, and sanitation standards
- Assist other employees as needed
- Follow opening and closing procedures, checking out with manager on duty
- Adhere to all House of Blues policies and procedures
- Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance and House of Blues policies
- Request proper identification for anyone appearing under 30 years of age
- Recognize when guests are becoming too intoxicated and refuse further service courteously and safely, alerting a manager
- Handle cash and banking procedures, including cash pull and checkout
- Process payments using point of sales terminal for cash and credit transactions
- Occasionally work special events within the venue
- Interact with guests in a friendly demeanor to cultivate repeat business
- Suggestively sell menu items to guests
- Take and deliver food and beverage orders promptly
- Prioritize and organize drink orders
- Consistently prepare beverages according to standard recipes and venue specifications
- Comply with all control systems
