Job Duties

  • Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area during shift
  • Follow House of Blues safety, health, and sanitation standards
  • Assist other employees as needed
  • Follow opening and closing procedures, checking out with manager on duty
  • Adhere to all House of Blues policies and procedures
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance and House of Blues policies
  • Request proper identification for anyone appearing under 30 years of age
  • Recognize when guests are becoming too intoxicated and refuse further service courteously and safely, alerting a manager
  • Handle cash and banking procedures, including cash pull and checkout
  • Process payments using point of sales terminal for cash and credit transactions
  • Occasionally work special events within the venue
  • Interact with guests in a friendly demeanor to cultivate repeat business
  • Suggestively sell menu items to guests
  • Take and deliver food and beverage orders promptly
  • Prioritize and organize drink orders
  • Consistently prepare beverages according to standard recipes and venue specifications
  • Comply with all control systems
