Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
One or more years of previous bartending experience
TIPS or CARE beverage service certification or ability to obtain
Ability to speak, understand, and write English
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly
Ability to lift and transport kegs up to 150 pounds occasionally
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as walking, standing, and carrying continuously
Demonstrated exemplary customer service and attention to detail

Job Duties

Greets all guests in a courteous and friendly manner
Takes, enters, prepares and delivers guest orders quickly and accurately according to standards
Responds to guests needs and provides the highest level of quality service
Assists other associates as needed to meet guest needs
Operates micros operating system and cash register effectively
Follows all cash handling and POS procedures to ensure accurate closing of all guest checks
Dispenses appropriate levels of alcohol and prepares drinks according to recipe and standards
Uses all equipment properly and adheres to cost controls to reduce expenses and waste
Consistently checks guests' identification and monitors consumption of alcoholic beverages for legal compliance
Assists servers and guests when needed
Disposes of garbage, picks up trays, restocks barware, and cleans tables and counter
Transfers dishes to dish wash area and washes barware
Completes all required paperwork accurately and timely adhering to internal audit procedures
Assists with inventory and completes inventory par sheets
Maintains clean and safe work area
Handles beverage and food in compliance with regulations
Maintains sanitation and cleanliness of bar, kitchen, and dish area
Follows procedures for guest and associate incidents
Knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures
Plans, organizes and prioritizes work duties to produce required volume of work
Adheres to grooming and appearance standards
Attends department and hotel meetings and follows attendance policy
Completes all required side work and takes initiative
Works as a team player contributing to the success of the bar and restaurant experience
