Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages according to local state laws
  • At least 3 years of high volume bartending experience
  • Ability to stand for entire shifts
  • Capable of exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds frequently or constantly
  • Flexibility to work long and sometimes irregular hours

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of experience in high volume bartending
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
  • Familiarity with state liquor laws
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to operate the computer system for transactions
  • Knowledge of beverage preparation and mixology standards

Job Duties

  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests, managers and colleagues
  • Process guests' checks, collect cash and handle credit cards and room charges
  • Perform opening and closing side work to ensure prompt and efficient service
  • Prepare beverages and cocktails according to standards for mixing, portion control and presentation
  • Serve food and beverages in a warm, friendly, courteous and professional manner
  • Ensure lounge areas are clean and tidy
  • Be familiar with the computer system used
  • Carry out cashiering functions by closing checks and servicing guests
  • Follow all state liquor laws
  • Assist in maintaining beverage costs
  • Serve liquor responsibly to avoid issues with intoxicated guests and report when necessary
  • Complete beverage requisitions to maintain par levels using the bottle for bottle method
  • Stock and clean glassware
  • Check and secure soda tanks to the bar
  • Prepare all garnishes
