Job Requirements

  • Previous bartending experience
  • Knowledge of basic and advanced cocktail preparation
  • Bar training or certification preferred
  • Food Handler's Certification and Alcohol Handling Certification required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • Previous bartending experience in a hotel, restaurant, or bar setting
  • Experience with basic and advanced cocktails
  • Bar training or certification in mixology, hospitality, or customer service is a plus
  • Must complete and maintain Food Handler's Certification and Alcohol Handling Certification as required
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Guest-focused attitude with ability to anticipate needs and solve problems
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with hotel standards
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking drink and food orders, and ensuring timely and courteous service
  • Maintain a well-organized and fully stocked bar, monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages
  • Verify legal drinking age of guests by checking IDs to comply with regulations
  • Accurately handle cash, credit card payments, and tabs, and provide accurate receipts
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area, following health and safety guidelines
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to accommodate special guest requests and ensure smooth service
  • Assist with set-up, service, and breakdown of bar areas for hotel events
  • Promote hotel specials, new drinks, and seasonal offerings to guests
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns and escalate issues as needed
  • Ensure compliance with legal alcohol service regulations and hotel policies
  • Conduct pre-shift and post-shift duties including bar preparation and cleaning
  • Assist in inventory management, ordering, and storage of bar supplies
  • Maintain and operate bar equipment and report malfunctions
  • Adhere to all company policies including attendance, grooming, and professionalism
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
