Job Requirements
- Completion of relevant baking or culinary education or equivalent experience
- Prior experience in a baking or food preparation role preferred
- Certification or willingness to obtain food safety certification
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Compliance with safety and sanitation standards
- Willingness to wear required uniforms and personal protective equipment
Job Qualifications
- Established knowledge of baking procedures, criteria, and compliance with sanitation regulations
- Certification: Required for acquiring certification in food safety
- Mastery of basic mathematical skills and numeracy is important
- Possesses exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting proficiency in both written and verbal forms of expression
- Physical Expectations: Should be able to manage physical activities like lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking/standing
- Uniform and PPE requirements could be part of the responsibilities associated with the job
Job Duties
- Utilize standardized recipes and production guidelines to bake a variety of goods
- Arrange your work surface with all the essential supplies and ingredients for baking
- Organize the components by measuring, weighing, combining, chopping, and other essential preparation steps
- Work with baking gadgets like ovens, stovetops, and mixers
- Practice safe handling of utensils, like knives, while cooking and preparing meals
- Adhere to guidelines for the safe storage of food products
- Clean and disinfect workspaces, tools, and utensils once they have been used to promote a hygienic workplace
- Prioritize exceptional customer service and project a positive attitude when dealing with guests, clients, customers, coworkers, and other individuals
- Follow Aramark's safety protocols, which focus on implementing effective food safety and sanitation practices
- Uphold the safety of organizational assets by complying with established security guidelines
- Involving tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extensive walking and standing
- It may be necessary to utilize both PPE and uniforms as a safety precaution
