Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods up to 8 hours
  • ability to communicate clearly
  • must be able to see at a distance of 20 feet and at close range of 12 inches
  • must have good personal hygiene and wear uniform
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry trays weighing about 50 pounds
  • must be able to work irregular hours including weekends and holidays
  • must be able to perform basic addition and subtraction
  • exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold, and cleaning chemicals
  • ability to bend, reach, and fit through 30-inch openings

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • basic math skills for handling transactions

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a courteous and respectful way when seated at station
  • offer menu suggestions using acquired menu knowledge
  • deliver hot food checking orders for accuracy, appearance, and temperature
  • actively engage guests who have concerns and ensure 100 percent guest satisfaction
  • keep tables, station, pantry line, and dining room common areas clean
  • write guest checks and operate POS equipment according to company policies
  • restock service station with necessary supplies such as glasses, tea, ice, and plates
  • perform side work during shift downtime including rolling silverware and bussing tables
  • communicate with Manager on Duty and coworkers regarding service deficiencies and safety problems
  • maintain cleanliness of dining room and pantry area
