Job Duties

  • Host activities and guest interaction
  • open doors for guests entering and leaving
  • use greeting, seating, and waiting list procedures
  • seat guests promptly and courteously in person or via phone
  • anticipate and resolve system breakdowns to ensure guest satisfaction
  • complete wait sheets
  • welcome new guests and describe menu features
  • check out guests at the register and solicit feedback
  • move through the dining room to assist guests
  • sell and package bakery items
  • maintain cleanliness of cashier area, bakery cases, lobby, entryway, restrooms, and dining room
  • keep menus clean
  • process to-go orders
  • assist servers with pre-bussing and cleaning
  • sweep floors around tables
  • perform side work during downtime including rolling silverware and restocking cleaning workstations
  • support servers and bus persons to maintain service standards
  • communicate effectively with Manager on Duty and coworkers
  • keep management informed of problems and propose solutions
