Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Must be able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours
  • Must have good vision and peripheral vision
  • Must be able to communicate clearly
  • Must be able to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must have time management skills
  • Must be able to write, read and perform basic math
  • Must be well-groomed and maintain good personal hygiene
  • Must be able to handle exposure to heat, steam, smoke, and cold
  • Must have flexibility and mobility in the workspace
  • Must be able to fit through 30 inch openings
  • Must be able to work under heavy pressure and stress during busy periods

Job Qualifications

  • No previous experience required
  • Basic skills such as sanitation, safety, and customer service can be taught
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Friendly and courteous personality
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Host activities and guest interaction
  • Reports to work well-groomed, in clean and proper uniform and practices good personal hygiene
  • Opens the door as guests enter and leave
  • Uses greeting, seating, and waiting list procedures
  • Seats guests in a friendly and timely manner in person or on telephone
  • Anticipates, identifies and corrects system breakdowns to achieve maximum guest satisfaction
  • Completes wait sheets
  • Greet and seat guests and make a friendly first impression
  • Describe features, soup of the day, etc.
  • Take cash and check out guests at the register
  • Ask guests about their meal and service and thank them
  • Move through dining room regularly to ensure guests have all needed items
  • Sell bakery items and efficiently package to-go orders
  • Clean cashier area, bakery cases, lobby, entryway, guest restrooms and dining room during shift
  • Ensure menus are clean
  • Process to-go orders
  • Assist servers with pre bussing
  • Sweep floor around tables
  • Perform side work during downtime such as rolling silverware and restocking
  • Provide assistance to servers and bus persons
  • Ensure 100% guest satisfaction on every visit
  • Communicate with Manager on Duty and coworkers about issues
  • Keep management informed and propose solutions
