Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours
  • good vision and communication skills
  • able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • capable of working in a kitchen environment with heat and chemicals
  • able to read, write, and perform basic math
  • strong time management skills
  • flexibility to work irregular hours including busy shifts

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • ability to follow recipes and portion control standards
  • good communication skills
  • teamwork oriented
  • willingness to learn and adapt
  • prior foodservice experience is a plus but not required

Job Duties

  • Prepares cooking items
  • reports to work well-groomed and in proper uniform
  • uses and cleans kitchen equipment and prep/storage areas
  • stocks and rotates products to ensure freshness
  • follows recipes and procedures for portioning and cooking
  • controls food cost
  • maintains cleanliness of kitchen, prep areas, and storage
  • follows food safety and sanitation protocols
  • conducts line sweeps and cleans as you go
  • understands OSHA and health department requirements
  • communicates with management and team regarding issues
  • assists team members with prep and dishwashing
  • supports front of house staff with cleanliness and guest service
