Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous bakery or food preparation experience preferred
  • Ability to follow recipes and company procedures
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability to work flexible hours and schedules

Job Duties

  • Prepare bakery items according to Perkins standards and specifications
  • Label and date all trays of baked items
  • Set up and maintain the display cases using proper merchandising techniques
  • Follow proper sanitation procedures and maintain cleanliness of bakery prep and storage areas
  • Control food cost and ensure products are accurately portioned
  • Utilize FIFO (first in first out) standards when preparing items
  • Communicate with manager on duty and coworkers regarding product, service, equipment, and safety issues
