Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Bake bakery items according to Perkins standards and specifications
  • label and date all trays of baked items
  • observe proper food storage procedures
  • ensure high standards of food safety
  • set up and maintain display cases using proper merchandising techniques
  • work with host and cashier on samples, holiday packaging, and merchandising
  • follow proper sanitation procedures in kitchen, walk-ins, and dry storage
  • keep bakery prep and storage areas clean and organized
  • clean and sanitize bakery equipment, pans, and utensils
  • control food cost by accurate portioning and recipe adherence
  • utilize FIFO standards when preparing items
  • maintain cleanliness of kitchen, prep areas, coolers, and storage
  • follow safety procedures related to food handling, rotation, and storage
  • conduct line sweeps and clean as you go throughout shift
  • understand OSHA requirements and health department standards
  • clean all equipment as directed by managers
  • anticipate and correct system breakdowns for guest satisfaction
  • communicate product/service or safety issues with management
  • assist team members with prep and dishwashing
  • support front of house by maintaining bakery case cleanliness and cooperating with staff
  • provide guest service through effective communication
