Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to stand and walk extensively for up to 8 hours
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- ability to communicate clearly
- must be able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold, and cleaning chemicals
- flexibility to work irregular hours and under pressure
- must have good mobility and flexibility
- ability to fit through 30-inch wide openings
- must maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- ability to handle physical demands such as bending, reaching, and carrying trays
- willingness to follow OSHA and health department standards
- no prior experience required
- strong time management skills
Job Qualifications

- basic sanitation, safety, and customer service skills can be taught through in-house training
- ability to communicate clearly
- willingness to learn and adhere to food safety standards

Job Duties
- Bake bakery items according to Perkins standards and specifications
- label and date all trays of baked items
- observe proper food storage procedures
- set up and maintain display cases using merchandising techniques
- work with host and cashier to set up samples and holiday packaging
- follow proper sanitation procedures in kitchen, walk-ins and storage areas
- clean and sanitize bakery equipment, pans, utensils, and display cases
- control food costs by ensuring accurate portioning and recipe adherence
- utilize FIFO standards when preparing items
- maintain cleanliness of kitchen, prep areas, coolers, and storage areas
- follow safety procedures and policies related to food handling, rotation, and storage
- conduct line sweeps throughout the shift
- comply with OSHA and health department standards
- communicate equipment, safety, and product issues to management
- assist dishwasher with washing and restocking dishes and utensils
- provide guest service by cooperating with front of house staff
- adhere to “clean as you go” practices throughout the shift
- anticipate and correct system breakdowns for maximum guest satisfaction
- keep general manager and manager on duty informed of problems and propose solutions
- assist team members with prep and cleaning tasks
