Job Requirements
- One year of food service experience preferably in hotel or resort environment
- Knowledge of food and beverage preparation and hotel service standards
- Communication and interpersonal skills with commitment to guest satisfaction
- Ability to learn POS computer systems used at the hotel
- Valid Food Handlers Card and RBS Certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of employment
- Ability to wear non-slip oil-resistant shoes and comply with safety policies
- Reporting to work on time and regularly is essential

Job Duties
- Helps guests select food and beverages by presenting menu and offering cocktail recommendations
- Enters orders into POS system and records guests choices and special requests
- Keeps kitchen staff informed of meal progression timing
- Processes guest payment transactions accurately and balances payments to sales report
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas and keeps stocked
- Prepares dining rooms by setting tables with linens, decorations, condiments, and utensils
- Follows all food handling, sanitation, TIPS, health, and safety guidelines
- Reports safety issues and potential hazards promptly to managers
- Completes side work before, during, and after shifts
- Provides guests with a professional and attentive dining experience
- Resolves guest complaints within scope and refers management when necessary
- Ensures responsible alcohol service by monitoring minors and intoxicated guests
- Notifies management of any maintenance or safety concerns and unusual incidents
