- Previous experience in food preparation
- Knowledge of nutrition and food safety guidelines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary certification or training is a plus
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook meals and snacks according to the menu and nutritional guidelines provided by the school
- Ensure all meals are nutritious, balanced, and appealing to young children
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Monitor food supplies and ingredients, and order as needed to maintain inventory levels
- Collaborate with the school director and teachers to accommodate special dietary needs or preferences of children
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including proper storage and labeling of food items
- Follow all procedures and policies set forth by the Goddard School and regulatory authorities
