Located in the vibrant community of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, the Resource Center is dedicated to providing comprehensive support and services to individuals and families facing housing insecurity and homelessness. This dynamic organization operates with a mission to eliminate barriers that hinder access to stable housing, while fostering a supportive environment that promotes dignity, empowerment, and self-sufficiency among its program participants. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- two years of relevant experience or associate degree
- ability to assess individual needs
- strong organizational skills
- excellent communication skills
- ability to handle crisis situations
- flexibility to work varied hours including evenings and weekends
- valid driver’s license
- access to reliable personal vehicle with insurance
- ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- physical ability to climb stairs, sit, walk, and stand for up to 30 minutes
Job Qualifications

- two years of experience serving vulnerable and challenged individuals
- ability to assess individual needs and make appropriate referrals
- highly organized with attention to detail
- ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks effectively
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
- availability to work evenings and weekends
- current driver’s license and clear traffic abstract
- personal vehicle with insurance
- ability to relate to persons with diverse backgrounds
Job Duties
- Execute services to program standards
- manage volunteers, community groups, and walk-in participants utilizing services at the Resource Center, including usage of laundry, shower, and locker facilities
- help participants with their goals, strategies, and interventions based on their service/housing plan
- monitor, track, and document participants' progress
- make appropriate referrals and linkages to community mainstream programs
- assist participants with housing and employment searches, including housing applications and resume development
- work with the resource center team to move families and individuals into housing quickly
