Job Requirements

  • high school graduate or equivalent vocational training
  • previous experience in cleaning public buildings
  • knowledge of proper chemical handling
  • fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal
  • ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
  • ability to prioritize and organize
  • clear thinker capable of remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment
  • ability to follow directions thoroughly
  • understanding of guest’s service needs
  • ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
  • ability to work with minimal supervision
  • maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data
  • exert physical effort in transporting up to 40 pounds
  • endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
  • reach 8 feet
  • satisfactory communication with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding

Job Qualifications

  • fluency in a foreign language, preferably Spanish
  • high school graduate or equivalent vocational training
  • experience in hospitality industry in similar position
  • previous guest relations training

Job Duties

  • clean and maintain all items and surfaces in designated areas ensuring hotel standards of cleanliness
  • maintain cleanliness of all floors in heart of house area including main hallway, IRD office, Acqualicious, HR office, banquet and pastry kitchen
  • replenish and maintain staff locker rooms
  • collaborate with executive housekeeper, assistant manager, floor supervisors, floor attendants, linen/laundry staff and engineering
  • communicate effectively with hotel guests and visitors
  • follow directions thoroughly and perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
