Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cleaning experience preferred
  • Ability to exert physical effort in transporting up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to endure various physical movements throughout work areas
  • Ability to reach 8 feet
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize and organize
  • Clear thinker who remains calm and resolves problems using good judgment

  • Previous experience in cleaning public buildings desirable
  • Knowledge of proper chemical handling desirable
  • Fluency in a foreign language preferably Spanish desirable
  • High school graduate or equivalent vocational training desirable
  • Experience in hospitality industry in similar position desirable
  • Previous guest relations training desirable

Job Duties

  • Clean and maintain all items and surfaces in designated areas according to hotel standards
  • Maintain cleanliness of all floors in heart of house area including main hallway, IRD office, Acqualicious, HR office, banquet and pastry kitchen
  • Replenish and maintain staff locker rooms
  • Collaborate with Executive Housekeeper, Assistant Manager, Floor Supervisors, Floor Attendants, Linen/Laundry staff and Engineering
  • Communicate effectively with hotel guests and visitors
  • Follow directions thoroughly and perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information and hotel data
