Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Five years of prior full-time food preparation, purchasing, cost and inventory control experience
- Valid Corpus Christi/Nueces County Health Department Food Managers Permit at time of interview
- Required to obtain and maintain Food Service Manager certification
- Required to obtain and maintain food handler's permit
- Required to obtain Red Cross First Aid Certification
- Valid Texas Driver's License and liability insurance if using vehicles for CSCD business
- Must not be a peace officer
- Must not be on probation, parole, or serving a criminal sentence
Job Qualifications

- Red Cross First Aid Certification
- Five years of full-time food preparation and management experience
- Knowledge of food sanitation and safety requirements
- Proficient communication skills

- Ability to maintain composure in stressful environments
Job Duties
- Participate and oversee food preparation staff
- Ensure all dishes are completed timely and ready to serve
- Maintain inventory and assist with ordering and receiving food supplies
- Complete routine records such as food stores, meal counts, work schedules, production records and temperature logs
- Direct and train staff in the use of utensils and kitchen equipment
- Manage food storage ensuring proper rotation and adherence to safety policies
- Direct cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Lead and assist in meal serving according to schedules
- Receive and monitor kitchen deliveries
- Report inspection findings for kitchen and dining areas
- Attend training and evaluate daily meal quality
- Administer first aid and CPR in emergencies
- Write detailed incident reports as necessary
