Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to pass background checks including fitness for duty physical, fingerprinting, and employment references
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Must be able to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
- Ability to use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely
- Willingness to undergo vaccination status inquiry if required by the community
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience in a healthcare or senior living setting preferred
- Ability to follow safety protocols and operate cleaning equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent cleaning standards
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
- Commitment to professionalism and maintaining high standards of conduct
Job Duties
- Cleans scheduled residential units and/or office space and public areas in a proper and professional manner
- Maintains public and common areas of the facility in a safe, orderly and sanitary condition
- Must be able to identify and report the need for repairs, and unsafe conditions and respond appropriately in emergencies
- Uses cleaning tools, equipment, and chemicals safely and per instructions
- Performs special tasks, which may be chargeable to the resident upon instruction of the Supervisor
- Cleans interior and exterior windows on a scheduled basis
- Uses carpet-cleaning equipment and performs carpet care as instructed
- Makes and/or changes resident beds as scheduled
