Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a current, valid US driver’s license for at least 6 months
  • Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 2 weeks of employment
  • Must be able to obtain MAP certification within 150 days of employment
  • Must successfully pass CORI background check
  • Must successfully pass reference verification
  • Must successfully pass national fingerprinting
  • Must successfully pass driving record check

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience working with people with developmental disabilities and/or brain injury strongly preferred
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong writing and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Provide direct support to residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Administer medication according to the Medication Administration Plan (MAP)
  • Implement individualized treatment plans
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living such as cooking and household chores
  • Strengthen community connections by providing transportation for outings like shopping and medical appointments
  • Collaborate with families, employers, and support staff to enhance residents' lives
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports
