Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- must be at least 21 years of age
- valid US driver's license for at least 6 months
- ability to become CPR and First Aid certified within 2 weeks of employment
- ability to become MED certified within 150 days of employment
- pass CORI, reference, multi-state background and driving record checks
- experience working with developmental disabilities and/or acquired brain injury preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- bachelor's degree in a human services related field preferred
- experience working with people with developmental disabilities and/or acquired brain injury strongly preferred
- strong time management and writing skills
- ability to become CPR, First Aid, and MED certified within required time frames
- valid US driver's license for at least 6 months
- ability to pass CORI, reference, multi-state background, and driving record checks
Job Duties
- Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- administer medication under the Medication Administration Plan
- implement individualized treatment plans
- assist with activities of daily living including household chores and cooking
- provide transportation for community outings such as shopping and doctor's appointments
- collaborate with families, friends, employers, and support staff to enhance residents' independence and quality of life
- document care and progress according to organizational standards
