Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • must be at least 21 years of age
  • valid US driver's license for at least 6 months
  • ability to become CPR and First Aid certified within 2 weeks of employment
  • ability to become MED certified within 150 days of employment
  • pass CORI, reference, multi-state background and driving record checks
  • experience working with developmental disabilities and/or acquired brain injury preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • bachelor's degree in a human services related field preferred
  • experience working with people with developmental disabilities and/or acquired brain injury strongly preferred
  • strong time management and writing skills
  • ability to become CPR, First Aid, and MED certified within required time frames
  • valid US driver's license for at least 6 months
  • ability to pass CORI, reference, multi-state background, and driving record checks

Job Duties

  • Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • administer medication under the Medication Administration Plan
  • implement individualized treatment plans
  • assist with activities of daily living including household chores and cooking
  • provide transportation for community outings such as shopping and doctor's appointments
  • collaborate with families, friends, employers, and support staff to enhance residents' independence and quality of life
  • document care and progress according to organizational standards
