Job Requirements
- 18 years or older
- high school diploma or GED
- 1 - 5 years of experience in residential and/or support services for individuals with developmental disabilities
- personal vehicle and valid liability insurance
- ability to work a flexible schedule including various days, hours, and sites
- strong leadership ability
- capacity to make sound judgments
- ability to work well in a team
- dependable and adaptable
- patient and person-centered approach
- successful clearance of a criminal background check
- basic computer skills

Job Duties
- Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance
- be a lead for other DSP staff
- ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve
- assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, personal hygiene and more
- perform light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
- build relationships with persons served and teammates
- attend special community occasions and fun activities like outdoor walks, games, and social events
- transport persons served to appointments or other activities outside the home
- empower people with disabilities to live life to the fullest
- document progress, milestones, and action steps
