Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum one year of food service experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Teams
- Maintain a valid Food Management Certificate
- Maintain a valid Culinary Certificate, preferred
- Valid Texas driver s license with good driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to travel to off-site locations utilizing personal transportation

Job Duties
- Monitor food inventories and document according to donor guidelines
- Prepare three meals per day for clients with adherence to approved menus
- Accommodate clients with food restrictions and special diets
- Prepare sack lunches for clients absent during meal times
- Follow sanitation and safety protocols for food storage, labeling, preparation, and serving
- Serve food in compliance with enterprise and CACFP standards
- Ensure accurate documentation for CACFP, HAWC, Houston Food Bank, and End Hunger Network
- Clean equipment and kitchen surfaces during and after meal preparation
- Log refrigerator and freezer temperatures daily
- Maintain proper uniform and personal hygiene standards
- Supervise interns and volunteers to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation
- Ensure cleanliness of dining area tables and floors by interns
- Maintain freshness and quality of prepared food items
- Refrigerate or store food items not served immediately
- Substitute donated products when appropriate
- Wash dishes according to City of Houston guidelines
- Inspect donated and purchased food upon receipt
- Reject damaged or infested food items
- Adjust food inventories to reflect usage and receipt
- Attend required training and in-services
- Perform other assigned duties as needed
