Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • At least one year of food service experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Valid Food Management Certificate
  • Preferably hold a valid Culinary Certificate
  • Valid Texas driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Reliable personal transportation
  • Ability to travel locally up to 10 percent
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow instructions and policies
  • Effective communication skills
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of food service experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and Teams
  • Valid Food Management Certificate
  • Valid Texas driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel to off-site locations
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to policies and procedures

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Job Duties

  • Prepare three meals per day for clients
  • Serve a minimum of 125 client meals daily
  • Monitor food inventories and document according to donor guidelines
  • Abide by special dietary accommodations for clients
  • Ensure sanitation and safety compliance in food preparation and kitchen maintenance
  • Serve food following CACFP and federal standards
  • Clean kitchen equipment and surfaces during and after meal preparation
  • Ensure accurate logging of refrigerator and freezer temperatures
  • Supervise and ensure sanitation compliance of interns and volunteers
  • Prepare sack lunches for clients off-site
  • Substitute donated products when appropriate
  • Reject damaged or infested food items
  • Attend training and in-service sessions as required
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
