Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Effective communication skills
  • Prior experience in mental health or drug and alcohol treatment setting preferred
  • Must be fully vaccinated or have an approved exemption

Job Duties

  • Monitor residents behavior
  • Ensure a safe, harassment free atmosphere conducive to recovery
  • Perform building checks for cleanliness and safety including all rooms
  • Incident reporting including writing incident reports, reporting immediately to supervisor or program manager, and following Merakey policy
  • Monitor residents while they take prescribed medication and report any issues to supervisor, following Merakey incident report policy
  • Monitor assigned chores if applicable and ensure that general inspections are done properly
  • Complete assigned trainings within mandated time frames
  • Ensure nutritious meals are being served during shift if applicable
  • Adhere to local procedures while performing duties
  • May perform other duties as assigned
