Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, psychology or related field preferred
- experience in resident services or case management in affordable housing or social services
- excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- understanding of state laws regarding abuse reporting
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- reliable transportation for local travel
- proficiency in computer applications relevant to job
- physical ability to perform job duties
- willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development

- Experience working with low-income populations or in affordable housing
- knowledge of community resources and social services
- ability to design and implement educational and enrichment programs
- strong communication and interpersonal skills

- experience with data collection and reporting

Job Duties
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of residents and conduct needs assessments
- implement educational and enrichment activities for children and youth in the after school program
- promote after school program to property and local schools
- maintain collaboration with local schools and communicate with teachers regarding student progress
- organize meetings and workshops for parents on youth concerns and educational engagement
- report concerns about families and children to the Resident Services Manager
- maintain program files and attendance records
- survey residents to identify priority needs and preferences
- develop strategies to link residents with needed services and overcome barriers
- establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations for on-site services
- implement priority programs through partnerships or direct service delivery
- participate in pilot programs and implement new service models
- collect and report data for programming and maintain compliance with funding requirements
- evaluate program outcomes for quality improvement
- report child, dependent adult and elder abuse according to law
- obtain releases to interact on behalf of residents and maintain confidentiality
- work with property staff and agencies to prevent crisis situations
- resolve resident conflicts and participate actively in site teams
- plan recreational, cultural and social activities with residents and staff
- maintain a comprehensive community resource list
- attend staff meetings and training sessions
- participate in relevant professional organizations
- actively engage in inclusivity efforts
- travel to properties and training sites during the business day
