Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year of experience in community development, social services, or related field
- ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment
- strong verbal, writing, and listening skills
- proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- ability to maintain confidentiality and obtain appropriate release of information
- ability to work with people with mental health, disability, substance abuse, legal, and financial issues
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year of experience in community development, social services, or related field
- experience conducting community assessments
- experience applying principles of conflict management
- experience organizing community groups, events, or programs
Job Duties
- Evaluate outcomes of programs and services delivered on a regular basis as required
- develop a comprehensive understanding of residents including needs assessments and community meetings
- offer residents opportunities to assist their community and guide them towards appropriate services and resources
- develop and maintain a comprehensive list of community resources including employment, education, and social service agencies
- participate in and/or lead activities within Mercy Housing and with partner agencies to build professional capacity and enhance working relationships
