Job Requirements

  • Current CNA certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR and first aid certification
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk 90% of working hours
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and twist
  • Ability to work flexible hours including rotating shifts, evenings, and weekends
  • Experience in senior living or retirement community preferred
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions in English
  • Must be able to demonstrate competency in CPR course
  • Availability to work at least one shift per pay period or two shifts per month

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CNA certification
  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English fluently
  • Current CPR and first aid certification with demonstrated competency
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and standing/walking for most working hours
  • Experience in senior living or retirement community preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including rotating schedules, evenings, and weekends

Job Duties

  • Assists residents with their activities of daily living according to their plan of care
  • Supports appropriate hygiene services such as bath, shower, grooming, mouth/denture care
  • Provides physical assistance with routine self-care including dressing and selecting clothing
  • Assists with incontinence care and elimination activities
  • Assists with safe transportation and ambulation of residents
  • Prepares and delivers meals to residents and assists dining staff with serving meals
  • Aids with light housekeeping and laundry including cleaning, disinfecting, making beds, vacuuming, mopping, and restocking supplies
  • Provides emotional support and effective communication with residents and families
  • Encourages and assists resident participation in activities under the Life Enrichment Director
  • Provides administrative support including taking shift reports, record keeping, and care planning participation
  • Maintains knowledge of proper resident care procedures
  • Assists with medication administration and related documentation per State Regulations
