Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in hospitality or senior services preferred
- CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required
- Ability to communicate effectively with seniors, families, and team members
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to create and manage activity programs
- Must comply with vaccination policies as applicable
- Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Reliable transportation to facilitate off-campus outings
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Knowledge of customer service principles and processes including needs assessment and quality standards
- Skill in active listening including providing full attention, understanding points, asking questions appropriately
- Skill in creative thinking including developing and designing new ideas and systems
Job Duties
- Coordinates and provides recreational and educational activities including current events, discussion groups, sensory stimulation, cultural activities, religious services, special entertainment, off-campus outings, special events, and one-on-one visits
- Produces monthly calendars and promotional materials
- Interviews residents and develops individual assessments to tailor recreational programs
- Suggests recreational activities for discharged residents and refers families to community resources
- Coordinates Resident Council and family meetings and arranges special educational opportunities
- Prepares and maintains reports, studies, and schedules according to regulations
- Purchases and inventories supplies and equipment, inspects recreational equipment for maintenance needs and cleanliness
- Interprets recreational program goals to staff, volunteers, relatives, and the public
- Directs and trains volunteers
- Maintains accurate documentation of residents’ progress and responses
- Coordinates events with other departments
- Participates in budget research and preparation including supplies and equipment
- Attends in-service training and education sessions
- Performs duties assigned by Resident Program Manager
