Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • completion of required medication training
  • ability to pass background check and maintain confidentiality
  • acceptable driving record and ability to transport residents
  • ability to work effectively under supervision
  • compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • physical capability to perform personal care and mobility assistance
  • ability to handle stressful situations appropriately

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of medications commonly prescribed to the elderly
  • understanding of RCFE regulations and residential care standards
  • ability to document accurately and timely
  • proficiency in personal care services and monitoring vital signs
  • strong communication skills with residents and healthcare team
  • ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • compassion and professionalism in elderly care

Job Duties

  • assist residents with self-administration of medications as ordered by primary physician
  • provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, toileting, catheter and incontinent care
  • perform routine and night checks including timely response to call pendants
  • conduct blood pressure monitoring, diabetes monitoring and glucose testing, weight and oxygen saturation monitoring
  • document incident reports, wellness reports and all required documentation accurately and timely
  • maintain infection control and uphold high-quality care standards
  • communicate professionally and compassionately with residents, family members and medical providers
