Job Requirements
- Must have ASN degree from accredited college or university
- Must hold current RN or LPN license in good standing
- Must have minimum two years supervisory experience in senior care or related setting
- Must possess CPR certification upon hire or during orientation
- Must maintain current First Aid certification if required by state
- Must demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills
- Must be able to communicate effectively with physicians, staff, residents, families, and others
- Must be able to collect, analyze, and manage data
- Must maintain confidentiality and follow company policies and procedures
- Must complete all required compliance training and uphold company Code of Ethics
Job Qualifications
- Must have a minimum ASN degree from accredited college or university
- Must be currently licensed/registered in applicable state
- Must maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing throughout employment
- Must have two years supervisory experience in senior care or related setting
- Must have CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation and remain current during employment
- Must have current First Aid certification if required by state
- Must possess expert knowledge in the field of practice
- Must have ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing administration practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing functions in assisted living
Job Duties
- Plan, develop, organize, implement and evaluate resident care goals
- Maintain compliance with budget in labor and expense control
- Create, manage and approve scheduling for Resident Care staff to ensure appropriate staffing levels 24/7
- Work with Executive Director and/or Assisted Living Director to build relationships with residents and families
- Complete resident assessments, develop and implement service plans and communicate outcomes with resident and/or family members
- Conduct incident report follow-up investigations and ensure completion of resident status documentation
- Prepare for survey readiness and follow-up to ensure Plan of Correction is appropriately and timely completed
- Develop and monitor quality improvement plan
- Complete audits and observations to ensure associate compliance with infection control and other resident care regulations
- Ensure documentation of resident clinical status/needs and communicate with physicians and healthcare professionals
- Investigate and resolve resident and family concerns and complaints in collaboration with Executive Director
- Oversee medication program including accuracy of Medication Assistance Records, providing hands-on medication assistance and monitoring medication passes
- Communicate and follow up with provider pharmacy to ensure compliance with resident medication orders
- Conduct regular audits of medication records, storage areas, and narcotic inventories
- Recruit, select, hire, train, evaluate, supervise, and counsel resident care team as needed
- Serve as an effective role model maintaining approachable leadership style
- Communicate effectively with physicians, resident care staff, other associates, family members, and others
- Participate in community health matters/projects as appropriate
- Liaise with residents, families, support departments, and others to adequately plan for resident needs
- Collect, analyze, and manage data
- Implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the resident care department
- Maintain professional working relationships and confidentiality
- Follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
- Display integrity and professionalism by adhering to Century Park's Code of Ethics and completing all required compliance training
