Job Requirements

  • 6 months to 1 year of prior resident care experience, preferably with seniors
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues
  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • Ability to speak, read and write English
  • Must be willing to undergo a routine background check

Job Duties

  • Maintain residents' records daily and document leisure activities, incidents, observations, changes in physical condition or behavior, and visitor information
  • Observe and report residents' health and emotional status and promptly communicate changes to supervisors
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and mobilizing to activities and meals as per individual service plans
  • Encourage residents to perform as much self-care as possible to promote independence
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment by performing housekeeping tasks including laundry, bedrooms, dining areas, living spaces, bathrooms, and kitchen
  • Follow company policies and procedures in all caregiving and documentation activities
  • Support and engage residents to foster positive relationships and community involvement
