Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 6 months to 1 year of prior resident care experience preferably with seniors
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong problem-solving skills good judgment and attention to detail
- Understanding of HIPAA requirements

Job Duties
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing dressing grooming toileting transferring and dining while encouraging independence
- Serve meals in the dining room or residents apartments assist in meal preparation and encourage proper nutrition and hydration
- Initiate and participate in leisure activities encouraging residents to socialize and build friendships
- Maintain accurate and timely records documenting leisure activities incidents observations and changes in residents conditions
- Ensure a clean safe and orderly environment for residents performing general housekeeping duties
- Follow proper procedures in emergencies and respond quickly to resident requests including emergency call pendants and telephone calls
- Know each residents location remind them to sign out when leaving and promptly report if a resident cannot be located
- Foster a cooperative team environment through positive interactions with co-workers
- Attend all required in-service training sessions
- Be an active member of the community emergency response team
- Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene in accordance with company policies
